Remote Computer Support in Northern Ireland
Belfast technicians fix Windows and Mac problems online, while you watch. No Fix, No Fee.
Get your computer fixed without leaving the house
Remote support means one of our technicians connects to your computer over the internet and fixes the problem directly, with you sitting in front of the screen watching it happen. There is no need to unplug anything, box up a desktop, or drive across Belfast in traffic. Most of the software problems people bring into the shop can be sorted this way in under an hour.
We are a Belfast-based repair shop, and the same technicians who work on machines at the bench handle the remote sessions. Because the work happens over the internet, it does not matter where you are. We help customers in Lisburn, Bangor, Newtownards, Derry and every corner of Northern Ireland, as well as people elsewhere in the UK and Ireland who were recommended to us.
You stay in control the whole way through. You can see everything we do, you can ask what a step is for, and you can end the session at any moment. If we cannot fix the problem, you do not pay for it.
What we fix remotely
Anything that lives in software rather than hardware is usually a good candidate for a remote session.
Slow computers
Startup clean-ups, disk and memory checks, removing the software that is dragging the machine down.
Windows updates
Updates that fail, roll back, or leave the PC stuck restarting for hours.
Virus and malware removal
Full scan and clean-up, browser hijacks removed, security settings put back in order.
Email and Outlook problems
Accounts that will not send or receive, password loops, missing folders, new mailbox setup.
Printer and Wi-Fi issues
Printers that vanish from the network, dropped connections, weak or unstable Wi-Fi.
Software installs
Installing, repairing or removing programs, and sorting licence and activation errors.
Driver problems
Graphics, sound, webcam and touchpad drivers that stop working after an update.
Microsoft 365 setup
Word, Excel and Outlook installed and signed in properly, with OneDrive syncing.
Data backup setup
Getting your photos and documents backed up automatically so a failure is not a disaster.
Mac issues
macOS updates, slow Macs, iCloud and Apple ID trouble, apps that will not open.
Scam pop-ups and clean-up
Fake support warnings removed, and a check that nothing was left behind on the machine.
How a remote session works
Send the request
Fill in the form below with your phone number and a short description of what is going wrong.
We call you
A technician rings you back to confirm the problem and tell you what the session will cost before anything starts.
You approve access
You download our support agent and give it permission. Nothing connects until you click to allow it.
We fix it while you watch
You see every step on your own screen. When the work is done the session ends and you disconnect.
Is remote support secure?
It is a fair question, especially with so many fake support scams about. Our sessions are built so that you hold the keys at every point. The support agent you download creates a one-time session that only works while you have it open. It gives us no standing access to your machine and no way to connect again later without you starting a new session.
You watch the whole thing on your own screen, so nothing happens out of sight. If you are ever uncomfortable, you close the window and the connection drops immediately. We never ask for card details, banking passwords or one-time codes during a session, and we will never ring you out of the blue claiming your computer has a problem. Once the work is finished we remove the agent from your machine, or talk you through uninstalling it yourself if you would rather do it.
What does it cost?
A remote support session is £35, and that is the figure we confirm with you on the phone before anything connects. There is no call-out charge, because nobody has to travel, which is what makes a remote session cheaper than bringing the machine into the shop. If a job turns out to be bigger than one session, we tell you what it involves and what it costs before we carry on.
Our No Fix, No Fee promise covers remote work in full. If we cannot resolve the issue online, you are not charged for the session. In that case we will tell you honestly whether it is a hardware fault and what the bench repair would involve.
What if it cannot be fixed remotely?
Some things simply need hands on the hardware. A cracked screen, a failed hard drive, a battery that will not hold charge, liquid damage, or a computer that will not power on at all cannot be sorted over the internet. If your problem turns out to be one of those, we will say so quickly rather than running up a bill.
You can bring the machine to us instead. See our computer repair and laptop repair pages for what the bench work involves, or our data recovery service if the worry is files on a drive that has stopped working. If you are not sure which you need, just get in touch and we will point you the right way.
Remote support questions
Do I need to be technical to use this?
No. If you can answer the phone and click a download, you can do this. The technician talks you through every step, and there are only two or three clicks before we are connected.
Do you support Mac as well as Windows?
Yes. We handle macOS updates, slow Macs, Apple ID and iCloud problems, and software issues remotely, alongside Windows 10 and Windows 11.
How long does a remote session take, and what does it cost?
A session is £35 and most jobs are finished within the hour. A heavy virus clean-up or a full Microsoft 365 setup can take longer, and we will tell you before we start if we think that is likely. Under No Fix, No Fee you are not charged if we cannot resolve the problem.
What do I need before we start?
A computer that switches on, a working internet connection, and the password you use to log into the machine. That is it.
Do you cover outside Belfast?
Yes. Remote support works anywhere in Northern Ireland, and we regularly help customers in Lisburn, Bangor, Newtownards, Derry and further afield across the UK and Ireland.
